2 ways to check an agent is registered
1. Check online (fastest)

2. Ask for the LPPEH authority card
A genuine agent carries a physical LPPEH authority card showing their photo, name, REN/REA number and agency. Match the number on the card to what you find online.
How to check an agent's REN number online
A REN check is the fastest way to confirm an agent is real. Enter the REN number (e.g. REN 12345) in the box above — we match it against 34,000+ registered Real Estate Negotiators and return the agent's name, agency, area and whether the licence is Active. If a REN number returns nothing, treat the agent as unverified until they can prove their LPPEH registration.
Check a property agent's licence — REN vs REA
- REN (Real Estate Negotiator) — e.g.
REN 12345. A licensed negotiator working under a registered agency. - REA (Registered Estate Agent) — number starts with
E(e.g.E 1234). A full licence-holder who can run their own agency. - No number = not licensed. Only registered RENs and REAs may legally collect fees for property dealings in Malaysia.
